Its undulating form allows the sitter to recline, with minimal separation from the floor due to its foam padding. The chair's soft, streamlined shape evokes a modernist sculpture, with its revolutionary structure lacking traditional legs. Using an innovative technique, Paulin wrapped the metal frame with foam rubber and stretchy fabric, creating a chair that appears as a single, uniform form rather than an assembly of parts.
